Humulin N, as with all insulins, is injected subcutaneously; usually in the stomach area, at least two inches away from the belly button. You can also inject insulin in your upper arm, upper leg or buttocks. Each injection should be at least a half inch away from the last injection. Be careful that you do not inject your insulin into a mole, a muscle or a scar. Your doctor, healthcare provider or pharmacist can tell you where on your body you should inject your dose of insulin.
