When should I call my doctor if I am taking Tradjenta?

Call your doctor right away if you develop signs of a serious side effect or allergic reaction to Tradjenta (linagliptin), a drug that helps control blood sugar levels. These signs include:
  • hives
  • a rash
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat
  • difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • hoarseness
  • stomach pain that may spread to your back
  • vomiting
  • loss of appetite
