What are the side effects of Byetta?

A major recently detected side effect of Byetta is kidney trouble. Anyone taking Byetta should be monitored carefully to make sure that this side effect does not develop. Because Byetta is designed to counteract high blood sugar, it can sometimes result in low blood sugar. This can cause dizziness, sweating, shaking, nervousness, weakness, mood swings, headaches, numbness or tingling near the mouth, pale skin, increased appetite, and imprecise movements; untreated, it can develop into mental problems, seizures, and fainting. Other side effects of Byetta include stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, hives, rashes, itchiness, problems with breathing and swallowing, swelling of the face, throat, hands, feet, or lower legs, wheezing, weight gain, indigestion, hoarseness, and diminished urination.
