What happens if I miss a dose of Humalog?

Humalog should be used within 15 minutes of a meal - either before or after the meal. It is extremely important not to miss this window. Your blood sugar may become either too low or too high, both of which can be very dangerous. You should ask your doctor for specific instructions if you do happen to miss a dose. You should never take a double dose of Humalog.
