What should I avoid while taking Actos (pioglitazone)?

There is nothing particular that should be avoided while taking Actos (pioglitazone). It is prescribed as part of a plan of diet and exercise to treat type 2 diabetes. Be sure you follow the meal and exercise plans provided by your healthcare provider while taking this medicine. Do not stop taking this drug, even if your blood sugar is well controlled, and take only the dosage prescribed.
