Humalog Mix 50-50 may cause side effects. Common, minor side effects include redness, swelling, itching, or pain at the site of injection. You don't need to contact your doctor about these side effects unless they don't go away or interfere with your daily life.

More serious side effects include vision changes, chills, confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, fast or uneven heartbeat, headache, mood changes, seizures, slurred speech, swelling, tremor, difficulty breathing, difficulty concentrating, increased appetite, sweating, and weakness.

If you have any of these symptoms or begin having an allergic reaction, get emergency medical treatment immediately.
