How does Prandimet interact with other medications or foods?

Some cationic drugs, such as triamterene, ranitidine, quinidine, quinine, amiloride, digoxin, vancomycin, and trimethoprim, may interact with PrandiMet, as may gemfibrozil, trimethoprim, ketoconazole, and rifampin. PrandiMet may also interact with antibiotics, heart rhythm medications, diuretics, and morphine. Other drug interactions may exist, so tell your doctor about all of your medications. Alcohol should not be consumed by people taking PrandiMet.
