How soon after starting Precose will my symptoms improve?

How quickly your type 2 diabetes symptoms improve after you start taking Precose (acarbose) will depend in part on how well you follow your diabetes diet and remember your medicine. In one study, when Precose (acarbose) was added to other diabetes drugs as well as a diabetes diet, a main measurement of blood sugar control (HbA1c) improved within six months. This test gives the best picture of how well you've controlled your blood sugar over the past three months.
