How is the mix of Humulin 70-30 used?

Humulin 70/30 insulin should be used exactly as directed by the prescriber. The doctor will prescribe it in units per dose and the times per day to use it. The mixture contains 100 units per ml. For example, if the doctor prescribes 10 units of Humulin 70/30 per dose, each 10 unit dose will contain seven units of Humulin N and three units of Humulin R. The dose is injected under the skin as directed, typically two or three times daily, 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. If you have any questions or concerns about your diabetes, talk with your doctor or healthcare provider.
