Can Precose interact with other medications or foods?

Foods are not known to interact with the type 2 diabetes drug Precose (acarbose), but several drugs may -- including birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications, major tranquilizers and thyroid medications. Be sure to give your doctor a list of all prescription and over-the-counter drugs and supplements you take before starting Precose.
