Side effects may include drowsiness, agitation, dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary problems, constipation, low blood pressure, abnormal heart rate, and changes in blood sugar. Sexual problems have also been reported. Some people have had thoughts of suicide. Amitriptyline can make it dangerous to drive or to operate machinery.
