What should I avoid while taking Viibryd?

When taking the antidepressant Viibryd (vilazodone), avoid alcohol and grapefruit. Alcohol may increase sedation caused by the drug and worsen its side effects. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may increase Viibryd's potency. Pomelo can have the same effect.

Some drugs may not mix well with Viibryd (vilazodone), so tell your doctor about every medication you take, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbal remedies and supplements.

Since Viibryd may make you sleepy or affect your thinking and ability to respond quickly, don't drive or do anything that could be dangerous until you know how the drug affects you.
