What are the side effects of olanzapine and fluoxetine?

Common side effects of olanzapine and fluoxetine include:

  • sore throat
  • trouble swallowing
  • weight gain
  • sleep problems
  • dry mouth
  • increased appetite
  • breast swelling
  • decreased sex drive
  • missed menstrual periods
  • twitching

More serious side effects include:

  • problems with vision, speech, or balance
  • sudden, severe headaches
  • chest paint
  • agitation
  • hallucinations
  • vomiting or diarrhea
  • jerky muscle movements
  • seizures
  • flu-like symptoms
  • severe stomach pain

If you experience any of these symptoms, report to your doctor immediately. Call 911 for vision, speech, balance, sudden, severe headaches, chest pain, hallucinations or difficulty swallowing and swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue or throat.
