What are the side effects of fluvoxamine maleate extended-release capsules?

Fluvoxamine maleate extended-release capsules can cause side effects. Talk with your doctor if any of the following symptoms are ongoing or troublesome:

• Weakness
• Problems sleeping
• Abnormal dreams
• Headache
• Yawning
• Dry mouth
• Unusual taste in the mouth
• Tooth problems
• Increased sweating
• Acne
• Sore throat
• Upset stomach
• Lack of appetite
• Weight loss
• Gas
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Lowered sexual ability
Talk with your doctor right away if you experience any of the following symptoms:
• Unusual behavior
• Hallucinations
• Confusion
• Lack of concentration
• Loss of memory
• Loss of coordination
• Exaggerated reflexes
• Seizures
• Tremors
• Twitching
• Fainting
• Suicidal behavior or thoughts
• Exaggerated elation
• Severe or unusual mood or mental changes, including depression or panic
• Worsening or new mood or behavioral problems, including irritability, aggression, hostility, or restlessness
• Abnormal weakness
• Abnormal swelling
• Ongoing or severe headache
• Changes in vision, eye pain, swelling or redness in the eye
• Ongoing or severe sleep problems
• Fever
• Blistered, peeling, red, or swollen skin
• Chest pain
• Irregular or rapid heartbeat
• Stiff or painful muscles
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Stomach pain
• Painful menstruation
• Ongoing, painful erection
• Bloody or black stools
Also, talk with your doctor right away if you experience any of the following symptoms of a severe allergic reaction: swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or tongue; itching; hives; rash; chest tightness; or trouble breathing.
