How should I take fluvoxamine?

You can take fluvoxamine as either tablets or long-lasting capsules. You should swallow either one with or without food. Depending on your prescription, take the tablet once a day at bedtime or twice a day at breakfast and bedtime. Take the capsule once a day at bedtime. It may take a few weeks for this drug to have its full effect.

Do not take more or less than prescribed without talking to your doctor, even if you start to feel better. Stopping suddenly can cause side effects.
