Who should not take Tridione (trimethadione)?

People who have allergies to Tridione or similar medications should not take Tridione. Tridione can cause serious birth defects, so women who are, or who could become, pregnant should not take this drug. Women who are nursing should talk to their doctor before taking Tridione. Tell your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, eye, blood, or bone disease, as well as porphyria because these conditions can prohibit the use of Tridione.
