Who should not take Dilantin Infatabs?

Anyone allergic to phenytoin (the active drug in Dilantin Infatabs) or to other epilepsy medications, should not take Dilantin Infatabs. People with liver disease, diabetes or a blood disease, should make sure that the prescribing doctor knows. Also, people with a vitamin D deficiency or another condition that causes weak bones, should make sure that the prescribing doctor knows. Dilantin should not be prescribed for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
