Who should not take Dilantin-125?

Anyone allergic to phenytoin (the active drug in Dilantin-125) or to other epilepsy medications, should not take Dilantin-125. People with liver disease, diabetes or a blood disease, should make sure that the prescribing doctor knows. Also, people with a vitamin D deficiency or another condition that causes weak bones, should make sure that the prescribing doctor knows. Dilantin should not be prescribed for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
