Who should not take ethosuximide oral solution?

If you become pregnant while taking ethosuximide oral solution, let your doctor know immediately. As well, ethosuximide can be passed through breast milk to a nursing infant, so check with your doctor about any risks to a nursing infant, if you are breastfeeding while taking this drug. The effects on children under 3 years old have not been determined, so this medication should not be given to them.
