What is Topamax (topiramate)?

Topamax (topiramate) is a drug used to control epileptic seizures, seizures caused by Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (a form of epilepsy that affects children and may be accompanied by delays in mental and behavioral development) and to prevent migraine headaches. This drug belongs to the anticonvulsant class of medications. It works by reducing overly excited brain activity.
