What should I avoid while taking Keppra?

Nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding while taking Keppra (levetiracetam). This drug may be passed from breast milk to a nursing infant and cause possible adverse reactions in the child. Because Keppra might create drowsiness or dizzy spells, you should avoid driving a motor vehicle or operating dangerous machinery when you first begin taking this drug. Wait a reasonable amount of time after beginning treatment to see how the medication affects you before resuming these activities.
