What should I avoid while taking gabapentin?

Until you know how you will react to gabapentin, you should not drive or operate any heavy machinery. Gabapentin can cause vision impairment or slow reactions, so monitor your symptoms carefully and act accordingly. Medications such as morphine, hydrocodone, and naproxen can interact badly with gabapentin. If you take any antacids, make sure to leave a two hour interval between when you take your antacids and when you take your gabapentin.
