What is a Keppra Injection?

Keppra is a prescription drug used to treat epilepsy and seizures. It is often injected during a seizure, when oral delivery would not be possible. The active ingredient in Keppra is levetiracetam. It is part of a group of drugs called racetams, usually considered nootropics.

This chemical's exact effect on the brain is unknown, but it seems to inhibit the type of neural activation which is characteristic of seizures.
