What should I avoid while taking Dilantin-125?

If you've been taking Dilantin-125 regularly, you must avoid abruptly stopping treatment. Stopping treatment may worsen seizures, and could lead to a potentially fatal condition called status epilepticus. You should also avoid drinking alcohol while taking Dilantin because it may worsen side effects. Dilantin may interact with some other medications, so don't start or change any medications without first talking to your doctor. Avoid changing your dosage or the form of Dilantin you take without talking to your doctor first. Dilantin may cause certain side effects, such as dizziness and drowsiness, that may affect your ability to think or react quickly. Because of this, it's recommended that you avoid driving and doing other potentially dangerous activities until you know how your body responds to the medication.
