Side effects may include dizziness, nervousness, sleepiness, indigestion, muscle pain, and speech difficulty. It may also cause eye problems, such as blurred vision, double vision, or rapid involuntary eye movements. Gabapentin may also cause amnesia and loss of control of body movements. Some people may have suicidal thoughts or behavior. Gabapentin can make it dangerous to drive or operate machinery.
