Ethosuximide oral solution (brand name Zarontin) should not be combined with alcohol. Certain medications may interfere with Zarontin or increase the amount of ethosuximide in your blood, so tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following: antidepressants, Dilantin, Depakote, Depakene, Luminal, Solfoton, and sleep-inducing medication or tranquilizers. Be sure to tell your health-care provider about supplements or vitamins you are taking. Ethosuximide oral aolution does not seem to interact with any food or drink, besides alcohol, so you should continue your diet as normal.
