How do Depakote Sprinkle Capsules interact with other drugs?

The Depakote in the Sprinkle Capsule has been known to interact with many other medications that can increase tolerance, such that a higher dose is required to achieve the desired effect. The most important of these medications are the following: carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin or any other drug that increases the levels of hepatic enzymes. Several other drugs that may interact with Depakote include: aspirin, carbapenem antibiotics, amitriptyline, nortriptyline, clonazepam, diazepam, ethosuximide, felbamate, lamotrigine, topiramate and zidovudine.
