Does belladonna alkaloid and phenobarbital interact with other medications?

Belladonna alkaloid and phenobarbital should not be taken if you are using any type of potassium supplement. Belladonna alkaloid and phenobarbital interact with alcohol. This medication may interact with anticoagulants such as:

  • warfarin
  • monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
  • urinary or bladder medicines
  • mepenzolate
  • bronchodilators
  • glycopyrrolate
  • atropine
  • scopolamine
  • methscopolamine
  • dimenhydrinate
  • benztropine
  • antifungals such as voriconazole
  • estrogen and other female hormones, including those in birth control pills

Tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including those for irritable bowel syndrome, as these may interact.
