Will my husband have to stop his active lifestyle if he's taking warfarin?

When your husband is taking warfarin, he can still do many of the activities that he normally does, but he needs to be careful not to hurt himself. He should avoid any sports or physical activities in which he could easily fall or get hurt, such as rollerblading or rock climbing. Instead, he should try safer activities like walking or swimming. If he goes bicycling, he should be sure to wear a helmet. If he does fall or get injured, call his doctor right away, even if he doesn't seem to be bleeding, because he may be bleeding inside. This is especially important if he hits his head when he falls.
