What are the side effects of enoxaparin injection?

The most common side effect of enoxaparin is pain at the area where the medication was injected. This will usually go away without medical attention. Dark urine, bloody stools, heavy menstrual bleeding, unusual bleeding or bruising, difficulty breathing and feeling lightheaded are more serious side effects. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention. Some people may also have a severe allergic reaction that causes hives, swelling of the throat, tongue or face, rash, itching along with difficulty breathing. If you have these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention, call 911.
