If you're taking warfarin, talk with your doctor before getting an immunization, such as a flu shot or any other injection (shot) into a muscle. When you go for the shot, tell the healthcare professional who's giving the shot that you are taking warfarin. Warfarin can cause bleeding and/or bruising when you receive an injection.
