Can Fragmin cause infections?

Fragmin treats and prevents dangerous blood clots by thinning the blood. Because it’s injected, you might be at risk for an injection-related infection. This develops where the needle enters your skin. Tell your doctor about any of these symptoms as soon as possible. The symptoms that may occur near the injection site are:
  • Tenderness
  •  Warmth
  • Irritation
  • Drainage
  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Pain
