Can I take birth control pills while taking warfarin?

You should check with your doctor and/or pharmacist before taking birth control pills while you're taking warfarin. Warfarin's effectiveness may be decreased by taking birth control pills. However, if you are of childbearing age, you should make sure to use effective birth control measures while taking warfarin. It is not safe to get pregnant while taking warfarin because this medicine can harm an unborn baby.
