What is Ketek?

Ketek is the brand name of the oral antibiotic containing the active ingredient telithromycin. It is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Currently, it is intended only for people with pneumonia. Ketek can cause serious liver problems and should not be given to people who have any pre-existing liver conditions.
