Who should not use mafenide?

Do not use mafenide if you have an allergy to sulfonamides. Be careful when using this drug if you have kidney problems or if you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. It is not known whether this drug is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
