Klaron (sodium sulfacetamide) has relatively few side effects, and those that do occur are not usually serious. The most commonly reported side effect is irritation at the site of application. The most serious possibility is an allergic reaction to sodium metabisulfite, an ingredient in Klaron, which is more likely to occur in people with asthma. If you experience an allergic reaction to Klaron, seek medical treatment immediately.
