Who should not take hexachlorophene?

Hexachlorophene should not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the medication. It should not be used on infants. If you have burns, skin lesions or are missing skin, you shouldn't use hexachlorophene. It should not be used on mucous membranes like your mouth, nose, eyes or genitals, and shouldn't be used in conjunction with bandages, wet packs or lotions. You shouldn't use hexachlorophene to bathe your entire body in an effort to prevent infections.
