Who should not use mafenide cream?

Do not use mafenide cream if you are allergic to sulfonamides. Be careful when using this drug if you have kidney problems, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency or other problems associated with pH balance. It is not known whether this drug is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
