How do I use clioquinol (Vioform)?

Clioquinol (Vioform®) cream, lotion, or ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin. You should clean the area of skin and allow it to dry before using. The typical directions call for application 2 to 4 times every day (or every 6 to 12 hours) for 4 weeks. Jock itch only requires 2 weeks of treatment. Follow the doctor's directions exactly for successful use.
