How does Xopenex interact with other medications and foods?

Medications that may interact with Xopenex include: beta-blockers such as acebutol or bisoprolol; tricyclic antidepressants such as doxepin or imipramine; monoamine oxidase inhibitors; diuretics such as chlorothiaizde; or digoxin. Diet pills, caffeine and decongestants also interact with Xopenex. Other bronchodilators can interact with Xopenex as well. When another substance interacts with Xopenex, the effects of the drug could be decreased, increased or changed entirely. Some of the side effects may also be magnified by other drugs. In general, you should inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking or plan to take, including both over-the-counter and prescription drugs, along with nutritional supplements, herbs or vitamins.
