What is Xopenex Pediatric used for?

Xopenex Pediatric inhalation solution is indicated for the treatment or prevention of bronchospasm in children and adolescents with reversible obstructive airway disease. For less than 4 years use the 0.31 mg dose. For 5-11 years start at 0.31 mg q 8 hrs then increase the dose to 0.63mg q8hrs. For greater than 12 years and adult start at 0.63mg then increase to 1.25mg q8hrs.
