What are the side effects of Elocon lotion (mometasone)?

If you have trouble breathing, swelling in the face, lips, tongue or neck, an itchy rash or hives, you may be allergic to Elocon lotion (mometasone) and should get immediate medical assistance. Other serious side effects include: oozing or pus from the affected area, a new infection or your condition failing to improve. Contact your doctor as soon as possible about these side effects. Call your doctor if the dryness, irritation, itching or burning in the affected area, skin color changes, acne or skin sores persist or bother you.
