What are the side effects of Atrovent HFA?

Side effects of Atrovent HFA (ipratropium) can include: headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, hoarseness, cough, blurred vision, upset stomach, nausea, constipation, painful urination, back pain, frequent urination, difficulty urinating and heartburn. See your doctor if these bother you or persist.
Some side effects of this medication are much more serious, including a fast or pounding heartbeat and chest pain. Atrovent HFA may also cause an allergic reaction. Symptoms of this are hives, rash, itching, difficulty breathing and swelling. If you experience any serious side effects or an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention.
