Like most medications, Advair HFA (combination of fluticasone and salmeterol) may cause certain side effects in some people. In rare cases, Advair HFA may cause a severe allergic reaction that leads to difficulty breathing, swelling in the face or throat and hives. If these symptoms develop, get medical attention right away. Advair HFA may also lead to an irregular or a very fast heartbeat, chest pain, worsening breathing problems, seizures, infection, severe muscle or bone pain, unusual tiredness or weakness, vision problems, behavior changes, weight gain and mouth sores. More common side effects may include headaches, dizziness, nervousness, vomiting, nausea, coughing, dry mouth, respiratory infections and sore throat. Other side effects are possible, so talk to your doctor if any new or unusual symptoms develop while taking Advair HFA.
