What is theophylline injection viaflex?

Theophylline injection viaflex is the name of a product that contains the active ingredient theophylline mixed in sterile dextrose 5% solution in a Viaflex bag. This is a brand of plastic bag made for intravenous (IV) administration of various fluids and drugs. This active ingredient is used to treat asthma and other lung conditions, such as emphysema and bronchitis. Theophylline relaxes the muscles of the chest and lungs allowing more air to move through the air passages of the lungs. The flow of more air eases the shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing of lung-related conditions.
