What is formoterol fumarate inhalation solution?

Formoterol inhalation solution is intended to be used with a nebulizer to aerosolize the medicine for inhalation. It is prescribed to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It helps relieve spasms of the passages in your airways (bronchi) that lead to your lungs and make it hard to breathe. Formoterol is a bronchodilator and works by relaxing your lung muscles. Brand name for formoterol inhalation solution is Perforomist and is not approved for the treatment of asthma.
