What are the side effects of aminophylline?

Aminophylline may cause behavioral or mood changes and may make you have to urinate less often. Behavioral changes can include insomnia and restlessness; mood changes can include irritability. You may also experience stomach pain and diarrhea. If these side effects don't go away or get worse, contact your doctor.Also let your doctor know right away if you experience any of the following side effects, as they may be signs of a medical emergency: signs of an allergic reaction such as hives or an itchy rash, swelling around the mouth or face, or chest tightness and difficulty breathing; nausea, vomiting, or severe diarrhea; confusion or dizziness; tremors or seizures; fast breathing; irregular heartbeat; or persistent headaches.
