Does montelukast interact with other medications and foods?

The asthma medication montelukast can interact with phenobarbital and rifampin. If your asthma symptoms worsen after taking aspirin, avoid all nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) while using montelukast. NSAIDs include: aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, indomethacin, etodolac, meloxicam, piroxicam and nabumetone. Tell your doctor about all medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, supplements and herbs that you take.
