Accolate (also known as zafirlukast) is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. However, you should talk with your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during your Accolate treatment. Accolate can pass into breast milk and may harm a baby during breastfeeding. So you should not take Accolate if you are nursing a baby. Talk to your doctor about stopping either the Accolate or the breastfeeding.
