How soon after I start using DuoNeb will my symptoms improve?

How soon your symptoms improve after you start using DuoNeb (a combined drug that includes ipratropium and albuterol) depends on a number of factors. DuoNeb is usually prescribed to improve breathing in people who need more than one bronchodilator for their chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). How well it works for you will depend in part on how advanced your disease is and what nebulizer equipment is used to deliver the medication.

Studies of the drug's effectiveness in people with COPD found it improved lung function almost immediately after taking a dose, with the improvements lasting at least four hours.
